Summary of Chapter 7 to 13:
While Victor was in Ingolstadt, he received a letter from his father, stating that one of his brothers had been murdered. They found him in the grass with the murderer’s fingerprint in his neck. Victor’s father implored him to return. So, he prepared everything to back home, however, he felt melancholic and wretched for the tragedy event.

As soon as he arrived, he wanted to encounter his brother’s murderer, but immediately, authorities determined that Justine, a person who used to work for them, was the main suspect. She had been seen in the murder zone and she had stolen a photo of Victor’s mother. However, Victor, Elizabeth and his brother Ernest didn’t believe the suspicion. Later, the whole family had to testify. Justine acted strange in the court and her words resulted confusing. The case proceeded and after two days, Justine was sentenced to prison, but sadly, she passed away the same day. Unfortunately, her innocence couldn’t have been tested.

Victor’s father, Alphonse, got worse. The recent events affected his health. Despite his father condition, Victor still believing in Justine innocence and was sure that the real murderer was still free. However, he decided to leave home and go to the valley of Chamounix where he spent his childhood. After being there, he went to the glacier Montanvert where he found the specimen he had created. He had developed the ability of talking and said to Victor that he found a refuge in an abandoned cottage. He used to observe the living of the family next to him. Time passed and the creature witnessed the arrival of a woman who spoke a different language; through the conversations that she kept with one of the family members, the monster could learn and comprehend the value of language.

Which character I admire the most?
I would say that I understand the monster Frankenstein perception about life. He only wants to comprehend human life and how feelings demonstrate who we are. He does not judge the people, he only looks for the importance of life among his own experiences.
